RSS/ATOM Feed Aggregation

DokuWiki can integrate data from external XML feeds. For parsing the XML feeds, SimplePie is used. All formats understood by SimplePie can be used in DokuWiki as well. You can influence the rendering by multiple additional space separated parameters:

Syntax Plugins

Duration: 2 days
Price: 1 night at 30.- + train at 40.- + food 10.- = 80.- for two days. Safety margin + 20. Total: between 80 to 100.-.
That's usual, train are expensive in Switzerland.
Advantage: Taste the treasures of Switzerland, take fresh air and touch snow. A trip you will remember. These are the most beautifull place in the Alps.

day1 : Neuchatel - Bern - Interlaken - JUNGFRAU REGION (2h30 train) and walking there. Night at Interlaken at Youth Hostel.
day 2: Interlaken - Visp - Brig (1h30 travel) and then, two options:

• Aletschgletscher : Biggest glacier of Europe. Short and nice.
• Zermatt with Matterhon: most most famous moutain of Switzerland. Long, more expensive and most beautiful. Deep far end of the world of Switzerland and NICE !

Come back to Neuchâtel in the evening.
Any of the two options: walk there and come back to land of Neuchatel. (train 3h). We eat what we take out of our backpacks.

Time management: train 6h total, walking two time 4 to 6 hours, total up to 12 hours.

Needed material: first layer of clean light cloths. Second layer deposited by CVD of GOOD and WARM pull-over, shoes and jacket. The shoes are especially important, must lace all way thru and hold the foot very firmly. No light sport shoes. Take the best shoes you have. Take your backpack. Add sun screen and sun glasses and possibly a hat. Don't take too much extra things, you'll have to carry your backpack. That's all.

Voici une superbe excursion à travers les Alpes qui vous fera découvrir en deux jours (evtl trois) les plus grands sommets suisses. Mercredi 1 août. 9h15 Gare de Lausanne. Marche la journée, 6h de marche, glacier d'Aletsch, approche du glacier, glacier de Fisherthalgletscher. Retour à Fiesch à pieds dans cette belle vallée.
Ensuite possibilité de rentrer sur Lausanne ou fêter le 1er août dans les stations de Cran-Montana et Nendaz. D'habitude de belles fêtes sympas.
A voir le jour même: trajet exact, approche du glacier, lieu de fête en soirée.

Dans son film documentaire choc «We feed the world», Erwin Wagenhofer nous invite à suivre plusieurs itinéraires de la nouvelle agriculture mondiale et en dévoile les mécanismes absurdes. On apprend, entre autres, que la volaille transgénique européenne est en partie responsable de la destruction de la forêt amazonienne.

A l’origine, le projet de Wagenhofer était de se concentrer sur le célèbre marché alimentaire de Vienne, à partir des produits qui y sont proposés, puis de tenter de rechercher leur provenance. Avec la tomate, son enquête le mène à Almeria, au sud de l’Espagne, où il découvre le plus grand centre de production végétale du monde. Il se demande alors pourquoi un simple produit tel que la tomate doit voyager 3000 kilomètres avant d’être vendu en Autriche. Partant de ce constat, il décide d’étendre son champ d’investigation en articulant production alimentaire et mondialisation. Les cas concrets présentés sont reliés entre eux par les commentaires éclairés de Jean Ziegler1, solide fil rouge du film.

Entre pillage et gaspillage
Premier plongeon en Autriche où, chaque année, 2000 tonnes de pain invendu sont détruites. Dépité, un agriculteur viennois affirme qu’une tonne de blé coûte aujourd’hui 100 euros, soit encore moins cher que le sable utilisé sur les routes gelées, l’hiver. La caméra de Wagenhofer s’embarque ensuite sur les flots bretons. Le réalisateur propose une comparaison entre pêche traditionnelle et industrielle. Avec l’Union Européenne, le visage de la pêche a changé. Les mers correspondent désormais à des zones qui sont analysées en termes de rendement au mètre carré, où chaque poisson est une marchandise et représente de l’argent, y compris ceux qui étaient auparavant considérés comme immangeables.

Quand l’Amazonie devient poulet
Wagenhofer quitte ensuite le continent européen le temps de rejoindre les terres tropicales du Brésil, où la surface totale de la forêt détruite depuis 1975 équivaut aux territoires de la France et du Portugal réunis. L’élevage de poulet européen possède un rapport direct avec la destruction de la forêt amazonienne. En effet, le Brésil, premier exportateur mondial de soja, s’applique à la substitution de la jungle par cette céréale assistée par des techniques artificielles, le sol n’étant pas idéal pour sa culture. Quand on sait que 90% du soja importé par l’Europe sert à nourrir les bêtes d’élevage, on réalise aisément que le lien est pervers.
«Le consommateur n’a aucune idée de comment les choses fonctionnent et comment elles sont faites!» remarque un éleveur de volaille autrichien. Et c’est effectivement ce qu’on réalise. Tout particulièrement lorsqu’un cycle de vie complet d’un poulet nous est montré, huit semaines en tout, de l’incubation de l’oeuf au produit final engraissé et étiquetté.
Les images impressionnent par la technologie mise en place et la quantité produite. Dans l’abattoir filmé par Wagenhofer, 50 000 poulets sont tués et dépecés chaque jour. Ces images nous rappellent Tintin en Amérique, lorsque le jeune reporter visite une usine entièrement automatisée et observe une vache pénétrer dans un bloc métallique sur un tapis roulant et ressortir quelques mètres plus loin transformée en saucisses. L’hyperrationalisation de la technique agroalimentaire dénuée de dimension humaine qu’Hergé avait fantasmé est désormais une réalité. Pire, ce mode actuel de production régi par les logiques de la mondialisation risque de durer longtemps encore. En effet, et c’est l’une des réussites du film, Wagenhofer se contente de dévoiler des processus légaux et ne cherche pas à découvrir des procédés interdits ou enfreignant les lois.

Le monde selon Brabeck
Ce choix est payant face à Peter Brabeck, CEO de Nestlé (presque trois 300 000 employés dans le monde). Celui-ci, rassuré par la démarche transparente de Wagenhofer, donne sa vision du monde sans retenue apparente. Un monde où tout a une valeur, où chaque chose est un produit, y compris l’eau, et où la maximalisation du profit est l’objectif absolu.

Au final, le constat est aberrant. Le film dérange. Jean Ziegler, se basant sur les statistiques de l’Organisation des Nations Unies pour l’alimentation et l’agriculture (FAO), déclare que la production alimentaire mondiale pourrait nourrir sans problème 12 milliards de personnes. Autrement dit, comme il le fait remarquer, «chaque enfant qui meurt aujourd’hui de faim est un meurtre.»

Avons-nous encore le choix?
Wagenhofer observe finement les paradoxes et les limites de notre mode de vie actuel. Il ne cherche pas à dire que la mondialisation est bonne ou mauvaise, mais questionne plutôt le spectateur sur son propre rôle dans cette mécanique complexe et glaciale. Car nous sommes tous impliqués. C’est d’ailleurs pour cette raison que le film a pour titre We feed the world (par ailleurs aussi slogan de Pioneer). Afin de démontrer que nous avons tous une part de responsabilité et que nous ne pouvons pas continuer à vivre ainsi. Pas le choix. Un changement de nos habitudes consuméristes est donc primordial.

A coups de transitions tranchantes et de plans soigneusement maîtrisés, les différentes intrigues s’articulent parfaitement pour former une œuvre puissante, fluide et intelligente.
